When We Are Closed

In possible life-threatening situations dial 999 for an emergency ambulance. For other urgent problems that really cannot wait until the next routine surgery please telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for advice or telephone the surgery.
If you telephone the surgery out of office hours your call will be directed to the Out of Hours Primary Care Centre (run by Go To Doc), alternatively you may contact them directly on 0161 336 3252.
The Accident and Emergency Department should only be attended in the event of life threatening emergencies. Other less serious conditions can be treated by the Walk in Clinics at Ancoats and Prestwich (see link on right hand menu)
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
